Milissa Wolven Sackos, Ed.D. is the Assistant Superintendent of Secondary Education for the Scottsdale Unified School District. Dr. Sackos joined the Scottsdale Unified School District in 2000 where she has served as an alternative education teacher, Director of Alternative Education/Principal, Student Services Administrator and Executive Director of Support Services. Prior to moving to Arizona, she served as a classroom teacher for 5 years in California.
Dr. Sackos holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication Studies from California State University, a Masters degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Arizona State University and a Doctorate Degree in Educational Administration from Arizona State University.
Dr. Sackos has served as an adjunct professor for Northern Arizona University (since 2005) and Grand Canyon University (since 2015) teaching within the Educational Leadership Department.
Dr. Sackos and family reside in the school district and has two teenage daughters who have attended the Scottsdale Unified School District since pre-school.
